The haze was nuts last Friday and we were stuck in office when the psi was 401! Although some of us braved the outdoors to head to the next building to get our N95 masks, I did get itchy spots on my skin when I got back.
That was my view to work while thinking to myself "Why in the world am I still making my way to work?".
The haze has cleared up yesterday and today, and I am SO thankful to report that I can see blue skies despite the slight haziness. To our neighbours experiencing its horrible effects (Muar, Johor faced a 700psi yesterday) please stay indoors no matter what and you have our prayers.
Made tteokggochi sticks last night for a snack after buying fresh tteok/ ricecakes from the nearby korean shop. I'll have to blog about the shop someday! The ricecakes are pan fried with a crunchy exterior and topped with a spicy sweet gochujang sauce and sprinkled with roasted almonds.. Shioook!
With Ramadhan/ fasting month coming up, I'll be having my annual Cookies for Orphans drive again! I hope to bake a different Softie cookie this year and I'm eyeing a double chocolate version. Many have sounded interest to donate to this cause and I will post up more details soon :) Can't wait!
